Cedar Ceilings, Rolling Lawns
The SCI Pavilion was one of the most flexible spaces on the Stroudsmoor property — a 16-foot cedar-lined open-air structure draped with market string lights, anchored by two stone fireplaces, and surrounded by rolling countryside lawns. This page documents our historical experience at the SCI Pavilion and is preserved for couples researching the property's full range of event spaces.
The SCI Pavilion rewarded a strong entertainment vision. Without fixed architectural drama, the music, lighting, and MC personality carried the full weight of the experience. Open-air sound coverage required careful design: there are no hard surfaces to reinforce the room, so speaker placement and SPL calibration matter more here than anywhere else on the property. The market-light ceiling deserves an uplighting plan that complements rather than overwhelms it.
Ceremony
The open-air pavilion allowed ceremonies, rehearsal dinners, cocktail hours, and receptions to flow naturally into one another, with the countryside as a backdrop.
