- How much does a wedding DJ cost in NJ?
- Wedding DJ pricing in New Jersey varies based on experience, reputation, and what's included. At Premium Entertainment, every event is custom-quoted based on your date, venue, hours of coverage, and enhancements. We recommend reaching out for a personalized quote so we can build the right package for your celebration.
- What's the difference between a DJ and an MC at a wedding?
- A DJ handles the music, reading the crowd, mixing songs, and keeping the dance floor full. An MC (Master of Ceremonies) handles the announcements, introductions, and flow of the evening. At Premium Entertainment, your DJ serves as both, seamlessly transitioning between curating the music and making announcements. This creates a more cohesive experience than having two separate people.
- How far in advance should I book a wedding DJ?
- The best wedding DJs book up quickly, especially for peak season (May through October). We recommend booking 12 to 18 months in advance for Saturday weddings. Friday and Sunday dates may have more flexibility, but earlier is always better to secure your preferred DJ.
- What should I look for in a wedding entertainment company?
- Look for experience at your specific venue, real reviews from recent couples, a professional presentation (suits, quality equipment), proper insurance, and most importantly a company that listens to what you want rather than pushing their own agenda. Your wedding should feel like you, not like a DJ show.
- Do you provide lighting and photo booths too?
- Yes. Premium Entertainment is a full-service entertainment company. In addition to DJ services, we offer uplighting, dance floor lighting, cold sparklers, dancing on the clouds, monogram projection, pin spots, multiple photo booth styles (Studio, Glam, 360, Mirror), and MagicTag AI photo delivery. Bundling services with one company ensures seamless coordination on your wedding day.
- What type of music do you play at weddings?
- We use music as a tool to move guests around the dance floor. We don't resort to annoying DJ tricks or line dances (unless you want them). Our DJs are masters of blending classic favorites with contemporary hits, so your guests will get up and dance. We recommend that the couple stays on the dance floor too. As long as you're out there, your guests will be.
- Can we meet our DJ before the wedding?
- Of course. We want to make sure everyone gets along and vibes well. We typically arrange Zoom meetings to make it easier on everyone. You'll also have a final phone call the week of your event to walk through every detail together.
